I am creating this blog to promote thought and discussion on the topic of childhood education in the developing world. I hope to post relevant articles and information, and also to document the progress of my friend Ben's nonprofit World Partners in Education.
Some questions to consider include:
*impact of primary and secondary education on an individual, whether it be qualitative (ex: a student's personal story) or quantitative (ex: lifetime earnings)
*impact of an educational institution on its immediate community
*methods of improving access to education or, alternatively, removing barriers to it
*gender disparity in attending and completing one's schooling
*teaching and disciplining methods and their effectiveness
*understandings and misunderstandings within the educational community that result from cross-cultural involvement
