WPE
World Partners in Education was founded in May 2008 by four American college students who volunteered abroad and found themselves teaching in schools that lacked basic infrastructure, such as desks, doors, paid teachers, or books. They found a sharp contrast between their students' eagerness to learn and the resources available for them to do so. WPE works with partner schools and communities to provide the tools necessary to ensure that every child has access to a quality education.
